Fun Activities In And Around Los Angeles
Hey SoCal Families! If you haven’t figured out your weekend family activities yet, I have a quick roundup of a few fun things to do with your kids this weekend.
San Diego Kids Free – If you are looking for a quick getaway, take a day trip to San Diego and visit one of the many family-friendly activities. Kids are free in October! My family favorite is the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, but there are so many great places to choose from.
Pumpkin Patches – Visit on of the Los Angeles area’s real working farms for an authentic pumpkin patch experience.
Kidspace Children’s Museum – Pop over to the Kidspace Children’s museum on Saturday or Sunday (Oct. 15 & 16, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) for a family friendly event featuring crafts, carnival games, bounce houses, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch.
Peanuts Great Pumpkin Patch – Drive out to the Orange Empire Railway Museum and take the Peanuts Great Pumpkin Patch Express. You can pick a pumpkin to decorate and take pictures with the Peanuts characters. The event also features live entertainment, bounce house, food vendors and a hay ride.
Original Farmers Market Fall Festival – For Los Angeles families who want to stay local, check out the Fall Festival at the Original Farmers Market on Oct. 15 and 16 (all day). Your kids can watch pig races, visit a petting zoo or watch pie eating contests.
Apple Picking in Oak Glen – Take advantage of the cool weather and go apple picking. The Oak Glen website lists all of the orchards open this weekend. My family’s favorite is Riley’s Farm.
Do you have any favorite fall activities? I’d love to hear about them!
